Dear Billie Thanks very much for you letter of 2/3/44
which I got last month. I'm glad to hear that you
& Frank are living on the farm at last, & that you
like it. I was sorry to hear in a letter from Bill, that
you had a lot of rain while striping, I hope it did
not do to much damage. Give my regards to Frank,
& I hope xwe will meet again before very long. Cheerio
Billie with Love from

Dear Mother & Dad I have just been watching two
international rugby matches, the first Australia. V.
N.Z. & the second S. Africa. V. Scotland. Our team
is not very good because there is not very many
Aussies in this camp, & a most of the one's that are here
are Victorian's & not many of them play rugby. It was
a good ^game to watch & N.Z.  won 10pts. to 0. The second game
S. Africa should have won, there is a lot of them in
the camp & nearly all them are rugby players, but Scotland
played a very good game & it ended as a draw with the
score 3pts. all. I have not had much mail lately, only one
from you Dad dated 16/4/44 which I got on 23/6/44, I ^am glad to
hear that Bill had a good long time at home & hope he
enjoyed himself, & I'll bet he did!!!. There is one old chap
in the room with us who gets on our nervs a lot on the
subject of mail, nearly every day a few letters come into
the room, if there is none for him he growls & grones about
never getting any mail. The annoying thing about it
is that he gets as much as anyone in the room &
more than a lot of us. We all look forward to getting
letters & are very pleased when we get them, but we
dont mone xwhen we dont get them. I'd like to know how
he'd get on if he had to go without for two year's.
as we had to. Sillie is'nt it, I gess we are not very
tolerent. I'm glad Jack xwas able to xsell the shop, what did he get.
Cheerio Best Love to all
from Red
