Dear Mother & Dad I sorry it is so long

since I wrote, but I had the flu & was

in bed for a week & not having much

to write I did not feel like doing so. I am

quite well again now. Mail is coming

throug much better since the new envelopes

started coming, the latest I have have

had were 17/12/43 from Joan& 28/11/43 from

you "Mother", which I received abut 10 days

ago, & 16/1243 from you "Dad" which I received

2 days ago. About a fortnight ago I had one

from Aunt D & a 17/11/43 one from John.

I was very pleased hear from John & that

both he & Bill seem to be getting on alright.

I was also very pleased to hear about the

application for land & that John has also

gone in for it, we should do some good

between us. Thank Betty for her good wishes &

remember me to her. I knew that Bruce

was married, John ^told me in one of his letters.

About a fortnight ago I met Lionel Wilson

who comes from the Hillston district, he

knows the Kneahtli's & Frank [[?]] boys

he knew Uncle Bill pretty well, but is not

sure if ever met you, "Dad", No space left so

Cheerio Best Love

Dear Mother & Dad Our new camp which is

for N.C.O's only is quite a big improvement

on the last one, & no work partys are sent out

from here. When they shifted us from the last

camp they took some extraordinary precautions

to make sure we all arrived here, and we did!!

I am quite well & hope all at home are the same.

Best Love to all

Dear Mother & Dad We have now been in

camp 3 weeks, & have been having very bad

weather, snow, rain, or sleet falling nearly

all the xx time. It rather disapointing

because we had just started to get some

good wether where we were before. I have

had one letter from you "Dad" since we have

been here written 7/1/44, & was pleased to

hear that my ₤200 arrived home alright.

it has been a long time on the way I sent

it last Aug. Fred got a letter from his sister

a few days ago & she said that Flap has been

pretty sick & that he is out of the army.

X the only new's I have heard of Flap has been

a briefx mention in one of Joan's letters that

he was home, & what Fred's people have told

him, has'nt he ever been out to see you.

I was glad to hear John had was able

to get home for xmas & hope that ^he had

a good time. Bill must be about due for

for leave too. By the way I hope nothing has

happened to him & your keeping it from me,

I have never heard from him & you dont

often mention him. I am well & hope you are the same

Cheerio Best Love from
