Dear Mother & Dad. I am quite well & hope

everyone at home is the same. This party is

much better than the last one, we do a bit

more work but the food is much better. We

work from xxxAM to xxxPM. The days programme

is, get up about xxx breakfast german bread,

red + tea or cocoa with milk & sugar, margarine,

jam, & sometimes cheese. Start work xxx o'clock

from xxx to xxx O'clock smoko more bread & marg.

12 to 1 dinner, a good thick soup or stew &

more tea or cocoa, 4-30 knock off, back in

camp draw^ spuds about 1½lbs & that with red cross

meat & more tea is the evening meal, supper

two biscuits & tea, to bed 9-30 or 10, & every

2nd sunday no work. There is a hot shower on

all the time, soap is a bit short but I manage

a barth & change of clorths twice a week.

There is also a large concert room, & the boys

put on some quite good shows. So that we

don't^ have a bad time realy, except that I hate

being a prisoner. However I dont see what else

I could have done, except to deliberately get

myself killed which would have done no-one

any good. We made a hard try had bad luck

& failed, & now just have to wait. Cheerio best of Love

to all

Dear Mother & Dad I got you letter of 24/2/43 today.

If I had known my card to Billie was going to

take so long I would have sent it to you.

But I though it might get there before word

from the red +, & I did'nt know then that Lew had

got home, Whatever you^ do dont spend more than 10/-

a week on my parcels, I will need the money when I get home.

Best Love
