Dear Mother & Dad There one chap here out of the 2/3rd
he had a letter Today in which he had news of
quite a lot of chaps we knew & nearly all of
them are Sgt's. or going to O.T.C. it made me
quite envious, because if I had got back I would
have been one of the first for promotion. I am
in very good health & hope all at home are the same

Dear Mother & Dad
I received your first letter
tonight & also one from Billie. It is 16 days
short of 2 years since I got the last one
& you can gess how pleased I was to get them,
as I'v been quite worried about how things
were going over there, & I never knew untill
tonight if John got away from Crete or
not. I am very glad to hear that he & Bill
have both been home, & that ^you are all well.
I'm ^also very glad to hear that Billie is going
to marry Frank at last, as I know she very
much wanted to, & I think in ^a case like that
it is the best thing to do without worring
about whether it is a good match or not.
14/3/43 Lew was very lucky to get away & I'm glad
that he did, when he left us I was very
nearly going whith him but I decided against
it, I wish now that I had gone, but it cant
be helped & there might be another chance
some day. I have great hope's of being home
before Xmas, & there will be some partys then.
I got two years to make up for. Tell everyone
that can to write to me, there is no limit
on the number of letters we can receive.
Cheerio Best Love to all
