Telephone Letters.—Subscribers may telephone messages to be sent as (1) an express letter. For each go words the usual express fee. (2) an ordinary letter. For each go words ordinary letter rate. Call fee additional in each case. Telegrams.—od. first twelve words, ½d. each additional word. Addresses charged for. Delivered free within 3 miles of receiving office, 3d. permile beyond. London—free delivery day and night. I1 desired telephonic addresses may be used in telegrams for delivery by telephone. Copies of such telegrams delivered post free. Tele- grams may be telephoned to a Telegraph Office by subscribers or from Public Call Offices at ordinary telegram rates plus call fee. Express Delivery,—Letters and Parcels by special messenger all the way or after transmission by post. Fee: 3d. per mile, or part of a mile. Express Messengers may be summoned by telephone. Reduced Cable Rates.—Deferred Telegrams to most British Colonies are forwarded at half rates. Night Cable Letters and Week-end Cable Letters to many countries at reduced rates. Code or cypher not allowable. Night Telegraph Letters (Inland) may be sent between most large towns. Charge—36 words, od.; each additionaly words, ½d. Radiotelegrams to Ships at sea. Charge generally 1o½½d. a word, plus ordinary telegraph rate to coast station. Coupons for prepayment of replies to letters, value 2g centimes (24d.), charge 3d Cash on Delivery.—Service between United Kingdom and many British Possessions. Maximumamount collected, (20, rates various. Advice of Delivery.—Registered (Inland) 2d. Registered and Insured (Foreign), 2½d. Home Safes for accumulating money for depositing in P. O. Savings Bank are supplied for 3/- each. 2/- retunded when safe returned. Postal Orders are issued and paid at most Inland Post Offices, in many British Possessions and other places abroad. Poundage: 7d. on amounts up to 19/-; and 2½½d. up to arj.. Broken amounts may be made up by the use of Postage Stamps not exceeding 5d. and three in number affixed to the face of any one Postal Order. Money Orders (Inland).—For sums not exceeding fr, 2d.; £3. 3d.; Lro, 4d.; and an additional 2d. for each froup to £40. Money Orders (Foreign).—Payable in Brit, and Allied Countries or their Colonies, 3d. for each ½r or fraction. Payable in Neutral Countries or their Colonies, 4d. for each fr or fraction. Telegraph Money Orders (Inland and Foreign).—The Com mission is the same as for ordinary Inland and Foreign Money Orders plus a supplementary fee of 2d. and 6d. (or r/.) respectively, and the cost of the official telegram of advice.
