got slipped through ambush on 1/7 and came
on to SIPITANG. at present believed hiding in
jungle North of SIPITANG. Am returning
MERAPOK today (3/7) leaving for MALAMAN 4/7.
Proposed itinerary MENGALONG 5/7, BOLE 6/7, IBURU
7/7, KUALA MIO 9/7. Received note from D2

on 2/7 have instructed him remain. KM.
FOUR men from SAPONG arrived with note
from headman district on 2/7. TWO HUNDRED
recruits available in that area who wish want
to join immediately. Some previously
arrived by another party. 16 has received
FIFTY Chinese recruits who are at present
[*2*] training here. Have asked for 50 SAPONG
men to come to me, 50 to I6. will
absorb others when possible. Prisoner sent
to LABUAN by barge this morning (3/7).
