Dear Sir /
Enclosed you will find tracing of a
notice from Gallipoli, sent by Private Leslie Evans to
his father, Mr. W. Evans, Blackheath and which came
to hand by last mail.
Private Evans says at foot of it -
"Taken from our "Notice Board" the night of
our evacuation from Gallipoli.
I had to pencil over the original as it
was very faint.
Les. W. Evans"
It is written on heavy faint ruled quarto
paper and shows top and bottom at the back, traces of
some adhesive substance.
