Transcribing tables and charts

We understand it is tempting to maintain formatting while transcribing tables and charts, but this is difficult due to the limitations of website-based text editors.

While we appreciate our volunteers' efforts, it is not crucial for the transcription to exactly match the original formatting.

The main goal of Transcribe is to improve readability so that content is easily searchable by keywords and more accessible to assistive technologies like screen readers, ensuring it remains accessible for all Australians.

Please transcribe tables and charts in a way that captures the data and reflects the meaning of the original document. What matters is the content, not the physical layout.
